Safety for the Twenty-first Century
In the 21st century we use the Internet to email, blog, share videos and pictures, keep in touch with friends and network for educational and professional achievement. The Internet is a common need and becoming increasingly more accessible for teens. Schools require some assignments to be done electronically and learning these tools gives teens the edge to succeed academically and professionally. With the increase of accessibility and availability of information, we must also learn to interpret the information on the Internet. There is so much information and not all of it is reviewed so we must learn to view it critically. Similarly, when we share information on the Internet, since there will always be a copy, we must learn to share our information cautiously. This site aims to provide one avenue to information that will help kids and parents educate themselves about navigating the digital world safely.
